Dinner Menus

Our school meals are cooked fresh on site to provide a balanced diet, with vegetarian and Halal meals on the menu.  

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for a free school meal each day. Lunch options for these children are either a free school meal, home packed lunch or home dinners. 

We encourage all families who might qualify for free school meals to apply, as a significant part of the academy's funding is determined by the number of children having free school meals.

Are you eligible for free school meals? 

You may be eligible for free school meals if your family receive any of the following.

- Income support
- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
- Employment & Support Allowance
- Child Tax Credit (but not if you also receive Working Tax Credit)
- Guarantee Credit element of State Pension Credit
- Support under Part 6 of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999

Please ask the school office for a free school meals application form, or download the form below.

Children may bring a packed lunch to school.  The lunch must include a balanced diet containing sandwiches, fruit, yoghurt, etc. provided in a sandwich box.  Chocolates, sweets and fizzy drinks are not permitted.  Our school supports those children who have a nut allergy and we ask parents not to include nuts with packed lunches.

Dinner times are supervised by lunchtime supervisors who look after the children during these times.

Monday

Main Meal—Chicken Korma (halal) served with steamed rice & naan bread

Vegetarian meal— Stir fry vegetable wrap served with herby diced potato & a fresh mixed salad

Pudding– Cheesecake

 

Tuesday

Main Meal—Roast beef (halal) served with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, carrots & broccoli & gravy

Vegetarian meal— Quorn Mince & onion roll ups  served roast potatoes, carrots & broccoli

Pudding– Banana chocolate brownie served with cream

 

Wednesday

Main Meal—Jacket Potato Day

with a selection of fillings

Pudding– Ice Cream

 

Thursday

Main Meal—Beef Bolognese (halal) served with pasta twists & a slice of garlic bread

Vegetarian meal— Sweet potato pasty served with new potatoes & baked beans

Pudding– Fudge tart served with chocolate custard

 

Friday

Main Meal—Fish cake served with chips, peas or baked beans

Vegetarian meal— Cheese puff served with chips, peas or baked beans

Pudding– Muffin

 

A slice of bread & butter & prepared fruit pots &  Fresh fruit bowl are available daily

Week Commencing 25th September
 

Monday

Main Meal—Chicken sausage (halal) roll ups served with  buttered half jacket potato & baked beans

Vegetarian meal— Pizza peppers served with buttered half  jacket potato & baked beans

Pudding– Muller crunch yoghurts

 

Tuesday

Main Meal—Chicken & sweetcorn pie (halal) served with mash potato, carrots & broccoli

Vegetarian meal— Chick pea & 5 bean chilli served with rice & tacos

Pudding– Gainsborough tart served with custard

 

Wednesday

Main Meal—Beef chilli (halal) served with rice & taco’s

Vegetarian meal— Medley of vegetable roll served with garlic roast potato’s & cauliflower cheese

Pudding– Ice ginger cake served with custard

 

Thursday

Main Meal—Chicken & cheese melts (halal) served with minted new potatoes & coleslaw

Vegetarian meal— Sweet potato & red onion tart served with new potatoes', salad & coleslaw

Pudding– Chocolate sponge with chocolate custard

 

Friday

Main Meal—Pepperoni & mozzarella pockets served with sauté potatoes

Vegetarian meal— Sundried tomato & mozzarella pockets served with sauté potatoes

Pudding– Selection of shortbread

Cherry, choc chip & coconut

 

A slice of bread & butter & prepared fruit pots & fresh fruit bowl are available daily

Main Meal—Chicken pasta bake (halal) served with  garlic bread & a fresh mixed salad

Vegetarian meal— 3 cheese quiche served with new potatoes & a fresh mixed salad

Pudding– Apple pie & custard

 

Tuesday

Main Meal—Mince beef & onion pie (halal) served with mash   potato, cabbage & peas

Vegetarian meal— Vegetable moussaka served with green salad & coleslaw

Pudding– Jellies

 

Wednesday

Main Meal—Roast chicken (halal) with stuffing served with roast potatoes, carrots & cauliflower cheese & gravy

Vegetarian meal— Mince Quorn & sage stuffing parcels served with  roast potatoes & cauliflower cheese, carrots & gravy

Pudding– Carrot cake served with custard

 

Thursday

Main Meal—Chicken tikka (halal) served with rice & naan bread

Vegetarian meal— Cheesy omelette served with wedges & sweetcorn

Pudding– Warm waffles with sauce

 

Friday

Main Meal—Cheese & tomato pizza

Served with chips

 

Pudding– Cookies

Main Meal—Mince beef & onion pie (halal) served with mash   potato, cabbage & peas

Vegetarian meal— Cheese & onion pinwheel served with mixed salad & sauté potatoes

Pudding– Fruit granola yoghurts

 

Wednesday

Main Meal—Roast turkey (halal) with stuffing served with new potatoes, broccoli & cauliflower & gravy

Vegetarian meal— Vegetarian meat loaf served with new         potato’s & cauliflower, broccoli & gravy

Pudding– Jellies

 

Thursday

Main Meal—Jacket potato day

Chose from Tuna mayo, cheese, baked beans & a hot filling

Pudding– Jam roly poly served with custard

 

Friday

Main Meal—Battered fish

Served with chips, beans or peas

Vegetarian meal-  

Pudding– Iced tray bake
