Dinner Menus

Our school meals are cooked fresh on site to provide a balanced diet, with vegetarian and Halal meals on the menu.  

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for a free school meal each day. Lunch options for these children are either a free school meal, home packed lunch or home dinners. 

We encourage all families who might qualify for free school meals to apply, as a significant part of the academy's funding is determined by the number of children having free school meals.

Are you eligible for free school meals? 

You may be eligible for free school meals if your family receive any of the following.

- Income support
- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
- Employment & Support Allowance
- Child Tax Credit (but not if you also receive Working Tax Credit)
- Guarantee Credit element of State Pension Credit
- Support under Part 6 of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999

Please ask the school office for a free school meals application form, or download the form below.

Children may bring a packed lunch to school.  The lunch must include a balanced diet containing sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, etc. provided in a sandwich box.  Chocolates, sweets and fizzy drinks are not permitted.  Our school supports those children who have a nut allergy and we ask parents not to include nuts with packed lunches.

Dinner times are supervised by lunchtime supervisors who look after the children during these times.

Monday
Main Meal - Chilli beef wraps (halal) served with potato wedges and a fresh mixed salad
Vegetarian Meal - Vegetable lasagna served with garlic bread and a fresh mixed salad
Pudding - Mini doughnuts with a dipping sauce

Tuesday
Main Meal - Steak and Onion pie (halal) served with cheesy mash, broccoli and sweetcorn
Vegetarian Meal  - Spanish Omelette served with roast potatoes and sweetcorn
Pudding - Homemade Bakewell tart served with custard

Wednesday

Main Meal 
- Jacket potato day with a selection of fillings: cheese, beans, tuna mayo and a hot filling, served with a freshly prepared mixed salad

Thursday
Main Meal 
- Cottage pie (halal) served with cabbage, carrots and gravy
Vegetarian Meal - Broccoli and cheese pie served with mash potato, carrots and gravy
Pudding - Syrup sponge served with custard

Friday
Main Meal 
- Pizza served with chips
Pudding - Frozen yogurt

A slice of bread and butter, prepared fruit pots and fresh fruit bowl is available daily

Monday
Main Meal 
- Chicken sausage (halal) with hash brown, baked beans and tomato
Vegetarian Meal - Veggie sausage with hash brown, baked beans and tomato
Pudding - Treacle tart served with custard 

Tuesday
Main Meal 
- Beef lasagna (halal) served with garlic bread and freshly mixed salad
Vegetarian Meal - Sun dried tomato and cheese muffin served with new potatoes and sweetcorn 
Pudding - Treacle tart served with custard

Wednesday
Main Meal 
-Chicken casserole (halal) served with mash potato, cauliflower and carrots
Vegetarian Meal - Butter bean and vegetable hot pot served with mash potato, cauliflower and carrots
Pudding - Black forest trifle

Thursday
Main Meal 
- Mince lamb and rosemary onion roll (halal) served with minted new potatoes, peas and white cabbage
Vegetarian Meal - Roasted vegetable tart served with half jacket potato and a fresh mixed salad
Pudding - Chocolate angel delight

Friday
Main Meal 
- Chicken fillet (halal) served with pomme potatoes, crunchy shredded lettuce with mayo in a bread roll
Vegetarian Meal - Southern fried Quorn burger served with pomme potatoes, crunchy shredded lettuce with mayo in a bread roll
Pudding - Chocolate flapjack or shortbread

A slice of bread and butter, prepared fruit pots and fresh fruit bowl is available daily

Main Meal - Chicken Korma (halal) served with steamed rice and naan bread
Vegetarian meal — Stir fry vegetable wrap served with herby diced potato and a fresh mixed salad

Main Meal 
— Roast beef (halal) served with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, carrots and broccoli and gravy
Vegetarian Meal— Quorn mince and onion roll ups  served roast potatoes, carrots and broccoli
Pudding  Banana chocolate brownie served with cream


Wednesday
Main Meal
—Barbecue Chicken with new potatoes and salad
Vegetarian Meal - Macaroni with cheese and garlic bread
Pudding  Bananas and custard


Thursday
Main Meal
 Beef Bolognaise (halal) served with pasta twists and a slice of garlic bread
Vegetarian Meal — Sweet potato pasty served with new potatoes and baked beans
Pudding Fudge tart served with chocolate custard


Friday
Main Meal
—Fish cake served with chips, peas or baked beans
Vegetarian meal — Cheese puff served with chips, peas or baked beans
Pudding Muffin

— Chicken and sweetcorn pie (halal) served with mash potato, carrots and broccoli
Vegetarian Meal — Chick pea and 5 bean chilli served with rice and tacos
Pudding– Gainsborough tart served with custard


Wednesday
Main Meal 
 Beef chilli (halal) served with rice and taco’s
Vegetarian Meal — Sweet tomato frittata served with garlic roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese
Pudding Iced ginger cake served with custard


Thursday
Jacket potato day 
served with baked beans, cheese, tuna mayo
Pudding Chocolate sponge with chocolate custard


Friday
Main Meal
— Fish fingers served with chips and baked beans
Vegetarian Meal— Cheese on toast with chips and baked beans
Pudding– Selection of shortbread: cherry, choc chip and coconut

 Hunters Chicken (halal) with stuffing served with new potatoes, broccoli and sweetcorn
