Dinner Menus

Our school meals are cooked fresh on site to provide a balanced diet, with vegetarian and Halal meals on the menu.  

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for a free school meal each day. Lunch options for these children are either a free school meal, home packed lunch or home dinners. 

We encourage all families who might qualify for free school meals to apply, as a significant part of the academy's funding is determined by the number of children having free school meals.

Are you eligible for free school meals? 

You may be eligible for free school meals if your family receive any of the following.

- Income support
- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
- Employment & Support Allowance
- Child Tax Credit (but not if you also receive Working Tax Credit)
- Guarantee Credit element of State Pension Credit
- Support under Part 6 of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999

Please ask the school office for a free school meals application form, or download the form below.

Children may bring a packed lunch to school.  The lunch must include a balanced diet containing sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, etc. provided in a sandwich box.  Chocolates, sweets and fizzy drinks are not permitted.  Our school supports those children who have a nut allergy and we ask parents not to include nuts with packed lunches.

Dinner times are supervised by lunchtime supervisors who look after the children during these times.

Main meal – BBQ chicken breast (halal) served with herby diced potatoes and a fresh mixed salad

Vegetarian meal – Stuffed peppers served with herby diced potatoes and a fresh mixed salad

 Pudding – Syrup sponge served with custard

Wednesday

Main meal – Mince beef and onion pie (halal) served with chips, sweetcorn or beans

Vegetarian meal - Creamy vegetable korma served with rice and naan bread

Pudding – Ice cream

 

Thursday

Main meal – Shepherds pie (halal) served with fresh broccoli, cabbage and grave

Vegetarian meal - Cheese and onion pasty served with roast potatoes

Pudding – Raspberry Bakewell tart served with custard

 

Friday

Main meal - Chicken goujons (halal) served with wedges and a fresh mixed salad

Vegetarian meal - Cheese omelette served with wedges and a fresh mixed salad

Pudding – Iced muffins

Fresh Fruit platters, fruit pots and yogurt available daily

Main meal – Beef Bolognaise (halal) served with pasta twists and garlic bread slice

Vegetarian meal – Red onion and red pepper rolled pizza served with saute potatoes and sweetcorn

 Pudding – Chocolate sponge served with chocolate sauce!
 

Wednesday

Main meal – Chicken and sweetcorn wrap (halal) served with mini garlic roast potatoes and a fresh mixed salad

Vegetarian meal - Macaroni cheese served with garlic bread

Pudding – Cheesecake
 

Thursday

Main meal – Roast beef (halal) served with Yorkshire pudding, mashed potato, carrots and cabbage

Vegetarian meal – Five bean chilli served with steamed rice

Pudding – Rice pudding served with raspberry jam sauce

Friday

Main meal— Fish fingers served with chips, peas or beans and battered pineapple rings

Vegetarian meal— Cheese puff served with chips and beans

Pudding – Muller crunch yogurts

Vegetarian meal - Quorn sausage casserole served with mashed  potato and mixed vegetables
