Dinner Menus

Our school meals are cooked fresh on site to provide a balanced diet, with vegetarian and Halal meals on the menu.  

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for a free school meal each day. Lunch options for these children are either a free school meal, home packed lunch or home dinners. 

We encourage all families who might qualify for free school meals to apply, as a significant part of the academy's funding is determined by the number of children having free school meals.

Are you eligible for free school meals? 

You may be eligible for free school meals if your family receive any of the following.

- Income support
- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
- Employment & Support Allowance
- Child Tax Credit (but not if you also receive Working Tax Credit)
- Guarantee Credit element of State Pension Credit
- Support under Part 6 of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999

Please ask the school office for a free school meals application form, or download the form below.

Children may bring a packed lunch to school.  The lunch must include a balanced diet containing sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, etc. provided in a sandwich box.  Chocolates, sweets and fizzy drinks are not permitted.  Our school supports those children who have a nut allergy and we ask parents not to include nuts with packed lunches.

Dinner times are supervised by lunchtime supervisors who look after the children during these times.

Vegetarian meal– Cheese and broccoli pasties served with half jacket potato and baked beans

Main meal – Chicken pie (halal) served with mash potato and broccoli

Vegetarian meal – Macaroni cheese served with garlic bread and fresh mixed salad

 Pudding – Jaffa cake sponge served with custard

Wednesday

Main meal – Roast Beef (halal) served Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, peas, carrots, and cabbage

Vegetarian meal - Roasted Vegetable slice served roast potatoes, peas, carrots and cabbage

Pudding – Cheesecake

Main meal— Cheese pizza served with chips

Pudding – Ice cream

 

Friday

Jacket potato day with a choose of fillings from cheese, coleslaw, tuna may or baked beans served with a fresh mixed salad

Pudding – Rice pudding served with a jam sauce

Friday - Raspberry muffins

Fresh Fruit platters, fruit pots and yoghurt available daily

Main meal – Chicken tikka (halal) served with rice and naan bread

Vegetarian meal– Vegetable stir fry noodles

Pudding – Jam sponge served with custard

Tuesday

Main meal – Tuna crunch wraps (halal) served with sauté potatoes and a fresh mixed salad

Vegetarian meal – Cheese and tomato quiche served with sauté potatoes and fresh mixed salad

 Pudding – Strawberry custard crunch

Wednesday

Main meal – Beef bolognaise pasta bake (halal) served with garlic bread

Vegetarian meal - Sweet potato pasty served with new potatoes and baked beans

Pudding – Fudge tart served with chocolate sauce

Thursday

Main meal – Roast Chicken (halal) served with roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and carrots

Vegetarian meal – Quorn sausage casserole served with roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and carrots

Pudding – Muller crunch yoghurts

Friday

Main meal— Fish cakes served with chips, peas or beans

Vegetarian meal—Cheese disco's served with chips, peas or beans

Pudding – Selection of cookies

Fresh Fruit platters, fruit pots and yoghurt available daily

Main meal – Mince beef filled Yorkshire pudding (halal) served with new potatoes and beans

Vegetarian meal – Sweet and sour vegetable wrap served with new potatoes and a fresh mixed salad

 Pudding –Apple pie served with custard

 

Wednesday

Main meal – Shepherds Pie (halal) served with broccoli and carrots

Vegetarian meal - Vegetable Burge bap with croquette potatoes and beans

Pudding – Fruit jellies

Main meal –  Jacket potato day with a choose of fillings from  cheese, coleslaw, tuna may or baked beans served withy a fresh mixed salad

Pudding – Mini doughnuts with a sauce

 

Friday

Main meal — Pizza served with chips

Pudding – Iced chocolate cake served with cream

Vegetarian meal – Stuffed peppers served with herby diced potatoes and a fresh mixed salad

Main meal – Mince beef and onion  Pie (halal) servedwith mash potato, broccoli and carrots

Vegetarian meal - Creamy Vegetable korma served with rice and naan bread

Pudding – Shortbread fingers

 

Thursday

Main meal – Chicken goujons(halal) served with pommes potato and a fresh mixed salad

Vegetarian meal - Cheese omlette served with pommes potato and a fresh mixed salad

Pudding – Marble sponge served with custard
